Participate in Our Ongoing Studies
Working Memory & TMSHelp us learn how transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) interacts with working memory, and get an MRI picture of your brain!
We are recruiting healthy young adults 18-35 years old to participate in a working memory study involving TMS. This study involves four visits, each about two hours long. Visits proceed as follows: 1) Screening, TMS, learn the memory task 2) MRI, while performing the memory task 3) Memory task with MRI-targeted TMS 4) Memory task with MRI-targeted TMS Compensation is available. Please call or email with any questions! (919) 613-7665, hlp14@duke.edu (919) 684-5939, sah44@duke.edu |
Visual Motor Learning
Join us playing games as we identify differences in individual perceptual, cognitive, and behavioral measures!
Activities include tracking lights as they move along a ball's trajectory, responding to color-coded cues on a giant light board, or perceptual-motor training through a series of tasks on a touch screen. We have various cohorts, ranging from single-day to multi-day protocols. Please ask for more details about the current participation options! Some cohorts require an EEG. All cohorts will be exposed to flashing or strobing lights. Compensation is available. Please call or email with any questions! (919) 684-5939, sah44@duke.edu |
Optimizing Laparoscopic SkillsInterested in learning how surgeons learn, and investigating possibilities to improve that learning? So are we!
Our study test the influences of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and gaze training on the acquisition of laparoscopic surgical skills. Participants will complete the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery (FLS) peg transfer task over a series of days in order to ascertain how tDCS impacts learning in an expedited time frame. We are recruiting healthy adults 18-35 years old. The current cohort consists of 5 visits, ranging from 2 hours to 45 minutes long. Compensation is available. Please call or email with any questions!
